About the Artwork

Perihelion is a cosmic skull — vivid, saturated, and orbited by arcs of color that suggest both motion and gravity. The work draws on the astronomical concept of perihelion: the moment of closest approach, where pull and velocity exist in precise, temporary balance. On the front, the artwork is held within the DrainedEye logo as a stamp — the logo shape becoming a window into the piece. On the back, it opens fully. Form, color, and energy held at that point — neither escaping nor collapsing.
